Ghanaian champions, Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of experienced defender Mohammed Alhassan.[ads2]
The 30-year old has joined the Porcupine Warriors on a year deal with option to extend it for another year after leaving Hearts of Oak.
Alhassan’s move to Kotoko is on a free transfer after his contract with Hearts of Oak was terminated.[ads3]
Mohammed Alhassan who joined Hearts of Oak in December 2018 after leaving WAFA SC was an integral member of the squad until recently that he lost his position as a first-option center back.
He featured in over 90 matches for Hearts of Oak and was instrumental when the team won double which include the Ghana Premier League in the 2020/21 league season.[ads4]
Alhassan was part of the Ghana home-based national team that eliminated Benin and Nigeria to secure qualification to the 2022 CHAN tournament in Algeria.
He was however excluded from the final squad for the tournament which start this month in the North African country.[ads5]
