Moldovan Super Liga club FC Petrocub has officially announced that former Asante Kotoko Sporting Club CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah is the new president of the club.
The astute football administrator has put the name of Ghana high as he secured the post over the weekend. He has been involved in football for over a decade, and the Ghanaian could benefit from his extensive experience managing international and local clubs.
In advance of the 2024 season, which kicks off in March, Nana Yaw Amponsah will take over as the club’s manager from Mihail Usatii.
On their social media page, the club wrote,
“Petrocub has signed a partnership agreement with a foreign investment company. The agreement makes Nana Yaw Amponsah the new president of theĀ club.
The former founder and president of Division One side Phar Rangers will join Ghanaian goalkeeper Razak Abalora, who signed for the club in the winter transfer window.
Nana Yaw Amponsah also managed Asante Kotoko in 2022 after contesting for the Ghana Football Association presidency in 2019.
