Monday, May 3 declared public holiday

President Akufo-Addo has declared Monday, May 3, 2021 as public holiday in Ghana in celebration of the workers day.

It should be noted that the Workers Day will fall on Saturday, May 1, 2021 but using the Executive Instrument, the president has declared that Monday,May 3, 2021 should be marked as ‘additional holiday.'[ads2]

“His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana has by Executive Instrument (E.I), in accordance with section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, (Act 601) declared Monday, 3rd May 2021 as an additional Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country” a statement signed by the Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery indicated.[ads3]
