Akuapem North MP, Samuel Awuku has reiterated his displeasure about football management in the country. The murder of Pooley, a Kotoko FC supporter has rained many questions about the state of football in Ghana. The incident has taken Ghana Football backward as it demonstrate failure and poor management systems.
The MP bemoaned the amount of vandalism and hooliganism in Ghana Football as these act drives investors and sponsors away. He also called on law enforcement agencies to step up to curb such acts as he also lamented about poor officiating.
He said, “Football today is not just about entertainment, it’s a business. These acts of hooliganism are despicable, and it’s time we move beyond lip service. Law enforcement agencies must step up and ensure the law is enforced. You cannot separate acts of vandalism, hooliganism, and fan riots from poor officiating.
