Asante Kotoko goal poacher, Saddick Adams has expressed his disappointment over the MTN FA CUP technical committee, handing the overall Best Player Award to Heart of Oak winger, Winful Cobbinah last night.
The 7th edition of the MTN FA Cup Awards took off last night at the M-Plaza Hotel in Accra with each nominees expecting to clinch an award.
The Best Player Award saw, Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s sensational attacker, Saddick Adams competing with Winful Cobbinah of Heart Of Oak fame and Amidaus Professionals, Isaac Amoah for the main accolade.
However, Saddick Adams believes the award should have been in his favor than Heart Of Oak’ s Winful Cobbinah.
“Am disappointed in the FA Cup Awards because i don’t know why I didn’t win the MVP award.I don’t know the criteria they used in selecting the best player for the FA Cup tournament”, He told Kumasi based Metro FM.
Meanwhile, the scintillating attacker had been out of the team due to injury but assures fans to keep mute as he had started light training and could soon join the Paa Kwesi Fabin side, Asante Kotoko SC.
“I have started running and I hope by next week I can join my colleagues at training. Am not competing with anyone in the team and I hope when I return I will work hard to get a place in the team”, He continued.
