Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach Charles Kwablah Akonnor has responded to criticisms that his preferred ‘agroball’ is not manifesting again because of the absence of Richard Senanu and Maxwell Baakoh.
It will be recalled that some section of the media and fans of the Porcupines have been questioning the team’s abysmal play of late especially during their matches in the NC Special Competition.
According to Akonnor, the absence of midfielder Richard Senanu and winger Maxwell Baakoh are the cause of the team’s shambolic display of late even though they get the needed points.
“I wouldn’t want to kill some of my players but the players around when I designed the ‘agroball’ like Senanu and Baakoh are injured”, Akonnor responds to criticisms in an interview with Sikka FM.
Maxwell Baakoh who was a revelation for the Porcupine Warriors during their CAF Confederation Cup campaign aggravated his knee injury during Kotoko duel with Nkana FC in Zambia whiles Senanu sustained a knee injury in their game against Zesco United in February.
