Artiste manager at RuffTown Records, Ricky Nana Agyemang, popularly known as Bullet, has taken a swipe at the late Ebony’s father over claims by the latter that he was cheated during the sharing of proceeds from Ebony’s tribute concert.
The late Ebony died in February after being involved in a fatal car crash, but has since been buried in what was an emotional funeral for many.
However, despite her burial, there have been numerous accusations and counter-accusations involving her family and her former manager, Bullet.
In the latest development, Ebony’s father accused Bullet of giving him just GHc2000 out of GHc39,999 that they made from the organisation of a tribute concert for the late dancehall singer.
“From the concert, all I know is after the deductions that were made by Kasapreko I was showed a photocopy of a cheque worth Ghc 39,999.
“But Bullet brought me Ghc2,000. I have made my life, I have my own money my daughter’s money won’t add up to mine,” Mr. Opoku Kwarteng told Accra-based Adom FM.
But responding to the claims, Bullet has fired back at the late Ebony’s father, subtly describing him as “greedy”.
n a Facebook post, the artiste manager said although an artiste may be talented, it is his or her management that foots the bill for their events and travels.
According to him, after spending so much on an artiste, a record label cannot be made to function as a “charity business”.
