Ghana National Gas Company in its quest to enhance sanitation across the country commissioned and handed over two ultramodern 12-seater toilet facilities to the Kpendui and Lungbung Communities in the Tolon District of the Northern Region.
The facilities are divided into two-sided blocks with six units for males and six units for females, as well as hand-washing sinks in each compartment.
Speaking at the commissioning of the project, Mr. Emmanuel Asafo-Adjei, Senior Officer, Community Relations stated that Ghana Gas’ community development initiatives benefits not only the project-affected communities but also other deprived communities across the country that need the company’s assistance.

He urged the community to take proper care and maintain the facility for a longer lifespan.
Mr. Fuseini Salifu Issifu Moshie, District Chief Executive (DCE) of Tolon District, received the project and extended his gratitude to Ghana Gas for expanding its CSR initiative to his district, stating that the 12-seater toilet facility will benefit the two communities greatly.
Mr. Fuseini promised Ghana Gas that the community will maintain the facility for further projects in the district.[ads2]
