The National Sports College have held a successful sports administration and management course at Winneba in the Central region.
The six days intensive course which came to an end today was mainly attended by sports managers from the Technical Universities across the country, the Ghana Educational Services and other notable institutions.
The course which seeks to train the technical resource of the sports industry on how to be able to identify and analyse ethically, legal and socio-cultural issues and to formulate responses for use in management decision making and policy administration in sports had three methods of instructions namely discussions, presentation and audio visuals.
The content of the six days course had promotion and delivery of sports, sports event organization and management, managing finances of sports organization, seeking corporate sponsorship, managing difficult people in an organization, managing sports consumers, developing modern sports management, crises management in an organization, change management, time management, drug abuse and doping in sports etc.
Some of the participants including the President of Nana Afia Kobi Ampem Ladies Football Club, Madam Evelyn Nsiah Asare maintained that, they have learnt a lot from the course and will implement it in their various institutions to help in the development of sports in the country.
