Deputy Referees Instructor, T. R. K Atiffu has discloses that the Normalization Committee owes the Referees Association of Ghana ¢948,000 and the sum does not include that of the female competition.
RAG yesterday released a statement expressing their displeasure and their unavailability for match day 10 of the NC Special tournament due to unpaid arrears.
The refereeing officials have gone 9 game days without pay. The Normalization Committee promised to disburse all allowances owed RAG by close of April 2019, all effort from the association have proven futile, claiming the NC has churned deaf ears to their complaints according to the statement.
Officials for the female tournament have also received no payment; the tournament was won by Hasaacas Ladies FC some 23 days ago. All these reason amounted to the boycott by the RAG.
Referee Instructor Atiffu speaking on Kingdom 107.5FM added that the past administration owed them to the tune of ¢1.5m and excluding the female competition, the NC now owes them a bumper ¢948,000 with 5 more games to end the first phase of the tournament.
“Per my calculations, the normalization committee owes the referees an amount of GHC948,000 officiating fee excluding that of the women’s competition.
In addition, the past administration owes the referees an amount of GHC1.5million of officiating fee” – he told Takoradi based KINGDOM 107.5FM
