Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Wednesday whipped Berekum Chelsea 2:0 in week seven of the NC Special Competition at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Goals from Emmanuel Gyamfi and in-form goal poacher, Abdul Fatau Shafiu were enough as the Porcupine Warriors thrashed the Berekum based side in Kumasi.
Emmanuel Gyamfi registered the opener for Charles Kwablah Akonnor’s side in the 50th minutes before topscorer of the competition, Abdul Fatau Shafiu doubled the lead with a brilliant spot kick in the 71st minutes of the cagey encounter.
The victory means Asante Kotoko top the Premier League tier 1 league log with 13 points after 7 matches.
