Renowned Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei has said the NDC has insulted Ghanaians for choosing John Mahama as their running mate for the 2020 general elections.
According to the award-winning actor and model, the NDC could have chosen a different person as their flagbearer instead of John Mahama who has served as President of the country before.

“So the whole of Ghana and the whole of NDC, there’s nobody to stand apart from him? {…} You’ve been president but just after four years you want to come back? To me, I feel like it’s an insult to the nation” the actor said”, he told Zion Felix.
Prince David Osei believes there are capable and competent personalities in the NDC like Alban Bagbin, Ekow Spio Garbrah who could have been chosen as flagbearer for the leading opposition party.

“If NDC had come up with a different candidate; let’s say Alan Bagbin (He may be referring to Alban Bagbin), Ekow Spio Garbrah or any of these people, I personally would have probably rooted for him but this is a situation whereby the ex-president mahama has become a president, finished his term and is coming back”, the actor added.
