Member of Parliament for Jomoro in the Western Region, Dorcas Toffey has been retained as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the 2024 general elections.
The incumbent MP retained the slot during the party’s presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
Dorcas Toffey had 1,574 of the total votes to defeat her competitor Francis Ackatia Kwaidoo who accumulated 175 votes.
In the presidential race, John Dramani Mahama bagged 1,721 votes while Kojo Bonsu and Dr Kwabena Duffour had 3 and 15 votes respectively.
