Togbe Afede XIV, board chairman and majority shareholder of Hearts of Oak, has criticized some club supporters’ attitudes, claiming that their unfavorable attitudes are turning away potential sponsors.
Togbe Afede XIV stated this in a meeting with stakeholders of the club last weekend expressing his disappointment about the negative attitude of some actions of the supporters.
He claims that Hearts of Oak supporters always spread negativity, which is detrimental to the progress of the team.

“Hearts of Oak is the only team whose supporters insult and preach negativity about the team with a section of the supporters rubbishing the Pobiman Project,” he said.
“The behaviour has made it difficult for us to attract sponsorships because people think we are always fighting,” he added.
Due to the playing group’s lackluster recent performances, the Phobian supporters have become increasingly vocal.
Hearts of Oak will begin their 2023–24 Ghana Premier League campaign on the road against Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, hoping to improve on their 12th-place result from last season.
