The latest song from American female rapper Nicki Minaj, “Big Foot,” is a diss track directed towards Megan Thee Stallion. It is a reaction to Megan’s most recent release, “Hiss,” which was released on Friday. Listen below.
Without specifically mentioning Minaj, “Hiss” seemed to make fun of her husband Kenneth Petty, a convicted sex offender, by bringing up Megan’s Law, a federal statute that mandates that law enforcement share information about registered sex offenders with the public to protect it.
“This little beggin’ whore talkin’ ’bout Megan’s law/ For a free beat, you can hit Megan raw,” Minaj raps on ‘Big Foot’, which ends with a spoken word outro promising a “second installment.” The track appears to poke fun at the 2020 incident that saw Tory Lanez shoot the Houston rapper in the foot – “Bad bitch she like six foot/ I call her big foot/ The bitch fell off, I said get up on your good foot” – and frequently mentions Megan’s late mother.
Ahead of the song’s release, Minaj tweeted, “It’s been ready for 2 days. Trying to remain calm and allow her to have her little streams. wasn’t gon say anything. But I remember how everyone kept my name in their mouth & how I said the next person mentioned my family gon regret it. Btw, they haven’t even heard the song. Who said it’s even a ‘diss’?”
In keeping with her promise, Minaj has also released acapella version of Big Foot” so that “other producers all over the world can make their beat.”
