United Kingdom based Coach Tunde Adelakun assisted 100 freelance journalists across the African continent due to lack of activity amidst the global pandemic, Coronavirus.
Assistant Coach Tunde Adelakun who first took to journalism as a freelancer and later on began his coaching career says he’s in the known the struggles of the trade freelance journalists judging from the dire times the world finds itself.

“I decided to do this for freelancers because I identify with their struggles. They are my people. I also started as a freelancer and I know how it is to be struggling.” he said.
“I did what I did from my heart. Over 100 freelancers from across Africa benefitted. But I got more than 400 requests. I couldn’t do it all. But I did what I could especially in this time of Ramadan.”

Nigeria’s scout has worked with the BBC, Sky and SuperSport decided to help freelancers who have been hit by the coronavirus crisis economically.
Adelakun was assistant to Gernot Rohr when the Super Eagles claimed bronze medal at 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
