Zambia-based Ghanaian defender Richard Ocran is excited that football is resuming in the Southern-Central African country.
Just like other countries, Football activities in Zambia was suspended due to the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus which has taken the lives of millions across the globe.
After weeks of no Football, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has proposed that the 2019/20 super league will resume in mid July 2020.

This was disclosed by the Communication Manager of the Football Association of Zambia, Sydney Mugala who stated that the national football governing body has submitted the proposal regarding the resumption of the season to the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Child Development for approval.

Speaking on the latest update in an interview with Kyfilla.com, Richard Ocran who has been instrumental for Nkana FC this season believes the return of the league season in Zambia is a welcoming one and he is ready to give his all when league matches commence.
“The lockdown was worrying but am now happy that the league is resuming in mid July. We started training last month with all protocols dully observed. We were training in batches, that’s six players per hour, waiting for the league to return. We are just waiting for those who left for their respective countries during the break before resuming full training”, Ocran told Kyfilla.com.
