Accra Hearts of Oak National Chapters Committee spokesperson Paa Kofi Sunsum Busumuru has stated that Hearts of Oak’s head coach Henry Wellington does not merit the position as a head of the club.
In his view, Sunsum believes that Hearts of Oak is bigger than its current coach and that “no serious club will appoint Henry Wellington as head coach”.
Hearts of Oak is positioned 6th in the league table after week seven of the premier league, having lost 3, drawn 1 and won 3.
” No serious club in premier league will appoint Henry Wellington as their head coach, he is not up to the standard of Hearts of Oak “, Paa Kofi Sunsum said, speaking to FOX 97.9 FM.
The controversial supporters’ leader took further swipe at the club’s assistant coach Edward Odoom, saying he must be relieved of his post with immediate effect.
Sunsum made his stands in reference to coach Odoom’s comments about the attitude shown by his players in their recent 2-1 home loss to Elmina Sharks.
” No, the problem is not about the technical bench, our players’ attitude today was very bad, am very disappointed in the players”, coach Edward Odoom said i n his post match interview.
“The assistant coach (Edward Odoom) must be sacked now!”, Sunsum began. ” You selected players by yourself, if they fail why do you want to slay the players by shirking your responsibilities “?, Sunsum questioned.
Hearts of Oak will travel to the western region on Wednesday to lock horns with league debutants Karela United FC at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) park in week week of the league.
