The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has shut down the operations of a shell filling station at Adome Bridge in Atimpoku in the Eastern Region for selling water-laced petroleum products to unsuspected customers.[ads2]
According to an NPA statement, the filling station was closed down following a widely circulated video on social media and subsequent complaints made to the authority on August 29 about a suspected contaminated fuel purchased at the aforementioned fuel outlet.[ads3]
This saw a team from the Eastern Regional office of NPA dispatched to the location of the fuel outlet where a water content presence test was undertaken and a dip into the well of the fuel outlet indicated a water presence.
