Liberty FM’s journalist Nana Yaw Boadi Amponim has been beaten at the ruling New Patriotic Party’s acclamation centre today at Sefwi Wiawso in the Western North Region.
According to reports reaching www.kyfilla.com, the journalist was beaten by some suspected delegates of the NPP at the Methodist Church Temple at Korkorkrom, a suburb of Sefwi Dwinase Constituency in Sefwi Wiawso of the Western North Region.
Boadi Amponim is said to have gone to the acclamation of Dr. Kwaku Afriyie at the Constituency where he suddenly heard sounds of gunshots and went closer to the scene only to find out that some men he suspected to be delegates were forcing their way into the temple while the security present resisted them.

He decided to take his phone to snap pictures and also begun to record the incident for evidence but unfortunately one of the culprits protested and suddenly some macho men rushed to him and started beating him mercilessly.
Luckily for him, he was rescued by the police from the hands of the angry macho men but his phones were completely destroyed.
As at the time of filing this report, Nana Yaw Boadi Amponim has reported to work but will undergo a medical checkup after which he will report to the police station.
