Renowned politician, Bernard Antwi Boasiako otherwise known as Wontumi has been reelected as the Ashanti Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The astute businessman has been maintained as the leader of the party in the region during the party’s delegates conference on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
Wontumi defeated competitor Odeneho Kwaku Appiah otherwise known as COKA in a keenly contested election held today at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
With the Ashanti Region as the NPP’s stronghold, many believe Wontumi is the right person to help the party maintain its seats in the region and hopefully win more in the 2024 general elections as the NPP is determined to win the next elections.
Wontumi has been voted the Ashanti Regional chairman of the NPP for the third time.
