The Office of the Special Prosecutor has declared on Tuesday, June 13th, 2023 that former Secretary of the Inter Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining Charles Bissue as wanted.
The OSP made this declaration in a notice shared on its social media handles on Tuesday that Charles Bissue is wanted due to his work on the defunct IMCIM.
Among the offenses for which Charles Cromwell Nanabayin Onuawonto Bissue is wanted are; “expenses of the funds of IMCIM, seizure of excavators and their management and using the public office for profit”.
It was reported that the OSP has secured the warrant to arrest Bissue who’s now declared wanted.
Meanwhile Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Manso, the chairman of the IMCIM has been arrested and granted a bail of GH¢2m since May 26, 2023.
