Ghanaian international Augustine Okrah has joined Indian Super League side NorthEast United FC, few months after terminating his contract with Egyptian club Smouha
The 24-year-old was linked with a move to Tunisian giant Esperance de Tunisia ahead of the new season.
Okrah is now the third foeigner to join the Guwahati-based club after Nigerian Bartholomew Ogbeche and Uruguayan Juan Cruz Mascia as NorthEast United hope to cause troubles to opponents with their youthful squad.
The former Asante Kotoko and Bechem United midfielder is expected to join his teammates this week at training after he was officially introduced to them on Monday as they are expected to travel to Turkey for their pre-season tour since the league will start in October.
