German Bundesliga II side SpVgg Greuther Fürth have signed former Ghanaian Under 20 midfielder David Atanga on loan from Austrian Club Red Bull Salzburg.
The midfielder joins the German Club after a loan stint with SV Mattersburg.
Red Bull Salzburg decided to loan the 21-year-old in order for the player to enjoy more playing time.
Atanga, a member of Ghana’s 2015 U20 World Cup squad had previously played on loan at FC Heidenheim also in Germany.
He joined Red Bull Salzburg from fellow Austrian Club FC Liefering after his good display at the 2015 FIFA World Cup in New Zealand where he helped Ghana to the quarterfinals.
He scored five times for SV Mattersburg in the Austrian Bundesliga last season.
