Ghanaian Premier League side Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of midfielder Eric Esso from Ashantigold.
The enterprising midfielder signed a three-year deal to join the Phobians ahead of the 2022/23 Betpawa Ghana Premier League.[ads3]
A club statement reads “We are happy to announce the signing of our latest addition to the Phobia squad. Welcome, Eric Esso,”.

Esso who was among the players to have been sanctioned by the Ghana FA Disciplinary Committee following their involvement in the match-fixing scandal involving Ashantigold SC and Inter Allies.[ads4]
The 29 year old together with other 20 players has been granted some relief after a ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) granted stay for the players involved in the match-fixing scandal.
The Ashgold sc captain is the senior player of former Hearts of oak attacker Joseph Esso .
