Ghana Premier League newbies, FC Samartex have appointed Annor Walker as new head coach ahead of the 2022/23 league season.[ads1]
The renowned Ghanaian tactician has joined the Timber Giants from Great Olympics on a two-year year deal after fruitful negotiations.
The club’s official statement reads, “Weβre extremely delighted to announce experienced tactician, ππ‘π‘π’π₯ πͺπππππ₯ as our new Head Coach. The experienced gaffer joins us on a 2-year deal. He last coached Accra Great Olympics and did a stupendous work for the Dade Boys.[ads2]
As Kyfilla.com earlier reported, Annor Walker has joined FC Samartex as replacement of Henry Wellington who due to license issue will not be able to lead the Samreboi based club after qualifying them for the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.[ads3]
Henry Wellington, according to multiple reports, will join the FC Samartex backroom staff as one of the assistant coaches to Annor Walker who has been tasked to ensure the club survive relegation at the end of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
FC Samartex qualified for the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League from the zone two of the 2021/22 division one league season at the expense of Ebusua Dwarfs who placed second after the league season.[ads4]
Annor Walker is currently the head coach of the Ghana Black Galaxies and will be facing Nigeria in the last round of the 2022 CHAN qualifiers after eliminating Benin.[ads5]
