Italian Serie A newcomers US Cremonese have completed the signing of Ghana goal poacher Felix Afena-Gyan.[ads2]
The 19-year old has joined Cremonese on a five-year deal from AS Roma on a permanent contract worth €6m plus €3m add-ons.
The club’s official statement reads “US Cremonese announces that it has definitively acquired from As Roma the right to the sports performances of the footballer Felix Afena-Gyan”[ads3]
Afena-Gyan was promoted to the AS Roma senior side by coach Jose Mourinho last season after an explosive form for the U18 side of the club.
He has joined Cremonese for more playing time in order to get a call-up to the Black Stars for the 2022 World Cup tournament in Qatar.[ads4]
Afena-Gyan made his debut for AS Roma against Cagliari in the Italian Serie A in November 2022, before scoring his first two goals in the victory over Genoa.[ads5]
