Black Queens striker Sandra Owusu Ansah has joined Serbian side ZFK Spartak Subotica after a successful medicals.
The 21-year old has joined the Serbian outfit on a year deal after impressive form for Ghana Premier League side Supreme Ladies.[ads2]
With Spartak Subotica qualifying for the next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League, Owusu Ansah is expected to lead the front for a spectacular showdown in the competition next season.
Sandra Owusu Ansah, a former Ghana U17 goal poacher has previously played for Ghanaian clubs like Fabulous Ladies, Supreme Ladies and Zouk Mosbeh in Lebanon.[ads3]
She has made two appearances for the Black Queens of Ghana – she was called up to the Ghana national team in 2018 ahead of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations, with Ghana as the host nation but was ruled out of the tournament after failing to recover from injury she picked whilst playing for Zouk Mosbeh in the final match of the Lebanese League.
Despite joining the Black Queens for two preparatory games against Zambia and Kenya, she failed to recover and didn’t make the final squad but on November 30, 2020, in a match against Morocco she scored a brace in a four-minute spell to secure a 2–0 victory for Ghana.[ads5]
