Real Madrid sign Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga on season-long loan after Thibaut Courtois suffers season-ending ACL injury
Kepa arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2018 from Athletic Club and established himself as first choice during his debut season.
He made 54 appearances during the 2018/19 campaign, which ended with Chelsea lifting the Europa League trophy.

The Spaniard would go on to make a further 109 appearances for the Blues over the next four seasons, and was involved in our Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA World Club Cup triumphs.
Last term, Kepa was handed the captaincy for the first time and re-established himself in the Spain squad.
Chelsea club wish him well for the season ahead in Madrid, where he will work with former Chelsea head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

His presentation as a Real Madrid player will take place tomorrow afternoon.
It comes after Thibaut Courtois suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in training which could rule him out until the end of the campaign.
The injury to their No 1 leaves Los Blancos short-stocked in the goalkeeping department with 24-year-old back-up Andriy Lunin the only other option, so Kepa is likely to go straight into the team.
Kepa was missing from Chelsea’s opening-day draw with Liverpool with new signing Robert Sanchez starting between the sticks for the Blues.
