Medeama Sporting Club have confirmed to use Akoon Stadium as their new home ground.
The stadium will be used by the Tarkwa based club as their new venue for the upcoming season due to the redevelopment of the Tarkwa and Aboso Park by Goldfields Ghana Limited into a modern stadium.
Confirming the news, the CEO of the Yellow and Mauves believes the choosing of the Akoon Stadium is for the club to be close with its supporters in Tarkwa whilst redevelopment exercises commence at their favorite Tarkwa and Aboso Park.
“The Akoon stadium will be our new home ground. The club Licensing Board has given its seal of approval and we’re happy to stay within Tarkwa. We want our fans to stay close to the team and we are happy with the choice.” Chief Executive James Essilfie told medeamasc.com
Akoon stadium, located close to the site of mining firm Goldfields, will host the Mauve and Yellows for at least the next two years.
