Black Queens coach Nora Hauptle is upbeat and confident about her team’s chances of making a comeback against Zambia in the second leg of the 2024 Paris Olympic Qualifiers
Hauptle is optimistic that despite losing 1-0 in the first leg, they can advance to the next round with a solid showing in the next game.
In the third round of the Olympic Games qualifications, the Black Queens will play Zambia’s Copper Queens; the second leg is set for Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
The Black Queens now have all to play for after a 1-0 first leg defeat.
“Unfortunately, we couldn’t deliver or succeed against Zambia in the first leg, but we have the second leg against Zambia,” said Coach Nora Hauptle.
“I think when we put one goal in, it will explode down there, and then we [will be] back in April for the fourth round against Morocco,” she added.
The Black Queens want to advance to the next round of the Olympic qualifying tournament by winning and overcoming their first-leg loss. The team has traveled to Ndola on Saturday for the rematch.
The Black Queens’ next matchup against Zambia will provide an opportunity to demonstrate their tenacity and resolve.
