Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) have rescheduled the opening of the 2020/21 undergraduate scholarship.
This was initially scheduled for 2nd-22nd November, 2020 but has been rescheduled to December 1, 2020.
According to the corporation, the decision has been taken to iron out links on the portal as well as delayed WASSCE results of many prospective applicants.

Meanwhile, applicant must be a Ghanaian who has obtained admission to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme at any public tertiary institution.
Teachers pursuing English and Ghanaian languages, TVET at any technical institution, nursing training colleges and Colleges of Education are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.

According to the corporation, persons with disabilities who would apply for the scholarship are to upload medical certificate stating the level or seriousness of the disability.
It should be noted that, all applications are to be done online (www.gnpchghana.com) with submission of hard copies to be rejected by the leadership of the corporation.
The scholarship, according to GNPC does not apply to sandwich, part-time, private or free-paying students in public tertiary institution. Continuing students are to upload their statement of results.

It should also be noted that applicants who enjoy any form of educational scholarship should not apply. It is important that your eligibility for the scholarship award is based on accurate information.
Misrepresentation in any material form renders the application null and void and any award made based on misrepresentation shall be withdrawn and if any investments are made based on misrepresentation, the applicant may be asked to provide a refund or may face prosecution or both according to an earlier statement from GNPC.
