Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku scored his second goal of the season in Istanbul Basaksehir’s 3-2 loss to Rizespor.
The Ghanaian defender put up a spectacular performance but his efforts were not enough to get his team the maximum three points.
Istanbul Basaksehir opened the scoring on the 6th minute through a goal from Piatek.Six minutes on, Rizespor’s Olawoyin scored the equalizer to make the score 1-1.Rizespor scored again on the 17th minute to take a 2-1 lead but before recess, Jerome Opoku found the back of the net with a left footed strike to the top left corner after joining his team’s attacking overloads to make the halftime score 2-2.
The second half saw both teams equally make attempts to score but to not avail until stoppage time when Ibrahim Olawoyin scored again to steal all three points for Rizespor.
