The administrative manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Emmanuel Dasoberi has showered immense praises on Otumfuo Osei Tutu regarding how supportive his majesty has been to the club.
Speaking on Kumasi based Kessben FM, Mr. Dasoberi, narrated how the life patron has helped to tied down Mukwala and other players.
He also mention how Otumfuo’s support has helped in paying the salaries, food, accommodation and SSNIT to propel the team. Mr. Dasoberi said during the interview,
“Our owner, Otumfuo, has been exceptionally supportive. When I discussed the issue of debts with him, he assured us that he would settle every outstanding debt at the club. He promptly cleared debts owed to Seydou Zerbo, Mukwala, and Pouaty’s signing-on fees, as well as salary advances for the players. He has paid off everything. Currently, we don’t owe any player any salary,” Dasoberi disclosed.
He further elaborated, “As we speak, SSNIT is taking us to court. Upon hearing this, Otumfuo instructed us to calculate the outstanding amount and settle it. Throughout the tenure of the IMC, Otumfuo has been solely responsible for financing the club. He has committed to ensuring that players are paid by the 25th or 26th of each month.”
“Otumfuo covers expenses such as food, accommodation, fuel, and even provides meals for the players two days before every game. His support has been unwavering,” he added.
Asante Kotoko are poised to secure the 23/24 Ghana Premier League title.
