In an attempt to get Kumasi Asante Kotoko back on track, Life Patron of the Club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has tasked former Black Stars Coach James Kwesi Appiah to find a new head coach for Kotoko.
This comes after the patron’s meeting with the club’s legends and other executives.Otumfuo stressed on the need for the club to get a new coach as soon as possible.
Kwesi Appiah, who is a former Kotoko captain, is expected to return to Manhyia Palace once he finds a suitable candidate for the head coach position at Asante Kotoko.

The club has been without a coach since former gaffer Seydou Zerbo was fired in May. Interim coach Abdulai Gazale who was appointed to lead the technical team till the end of the season but has now parted ways with the club.
Despite facing challenges in the previous season, there is optimism that the upcoming season will bring positive changes after Otumfuo’s intervention.
