Dreams FC, who are currently the FA Cup champions, have advanced to the CAF Confederations Cup quarterfinals.
They lost narrowly to Rivers United 2-1 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, but their higher total allowed them to qualify.

Our first objective was to win or draw, but our main purpose was to qualify. Now that we have achieved our goal, we won’t talk about the score anymore.

Dreams FC is the first team from the Ghana Premier League to qualify for the prestigious CAF interclub continental competition’s knockout stage since Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, who made history in the competition’s inaugural edition in 2004, went all the way to the grand finale.
