Ashantigold CEO blames head coach for their defeat against Asante Kotoko.
Chief Executive Officer of Ashantigold, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong says their head coach John Christensen should be blamed for the club’s defeat against regional rivals Asante Kotoko.
Kotoko managed to whip Ashantigold by 3:2 on last Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium courtesy goals from Songne Yacouba and Wahab Adams.
But the CEO of the Miners who prior to the titanic encounter was talking big believes their head coach John Christensen should be blamed for the painful defeat against the Porcupine Warriors.
“I blame my coach for not playing Richard Djodi who for me is our best playmaker.
“I dubbed the game Yacouba vs Djodi so I was disappointed my coach benched him but I know he will starts at Obuasi and we will beat Kotoko by 4:0”, he said.
Meanwhile, the second leg encounter is slated for Sunday 16th September, 2018 at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
