Managing Director for newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Fc Samartex, Mr. Richard Nsenkyire has wadded into the conversation surrounding the eye-catching ultramodern sports Infrastructure the club is putting up at it venue. The Samreboi based club qualified for the senior club competition in Ghana for the first time in 26yrs and upon their arrival, many footballing fans and stakeholders who have visited their home grounds “THE NSENKYIRE SPORTS ARENA” leaves nothing but great commendation for handlers of the club.[ads4]
Speaking to journalists after their 2-1 home defeat to the defending league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr. Nsenkyire mentioned the club’s vision for their stadium isn’t only to host gpl matches but one they will develop and add up to meet the required standard for caf club games since the club has the ambition of competing in Africa in the next few years.
“To put up this edifice is not only for us to play our gpl home games here but also to be ready that anytime we qualify for any caf club games, we would be ready and have a befitting grounds to host any club. I didn’t want the situation where in the next year or 2, if Fc Samartex is to qualify for any caf club competition then we would have to consider playing our games in either Takoradi or outside the region”[ads2]
Samartex after losing to Kotoko have dropped 1 places down and are 10th on the league table after 22 games played. They travel to Bibiani for their next league game.
