Ampem Darkoa Ladies are set to lock horns with Sporting Club Casablanca of Morocco in the semifinals of the CAF Women’s Champions League at the Laurent Pokou Stadium in San Pedro Cote D’Ivoire at 8pm tonight.
With the fixture being a battle of the rookies, both teams are 90 minutes away from a historic final either with AS FAR Rabat or Mamelodi Sundowns, with a chance to win the trophy and a $4,000,000 cash reward.
Ampem Darkoa have already caused a stir throughout the continent by defeating the reigning champions, AS FAR, 2-1 in their opening match.
Ahead of the game,Ampem Darkoa Head Coach Joe Adarkwa says his team is poised for victory he however admitted that it will not be an easy battle.We want to get to the finals, and for this, we will have to work hard and see what happens.
“Every semifinal is like a final; very tough. We know we are going to have a very good game tomorrow.Definitely they know us and we know them [as well]. They have watched our games and we have also watched their games but In Sha Allah, we are going to win the game.
“Any war that you are going, you don’t need defeat. You predict win, you work for it and you get it.”Coach Joe Adarkwa added.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies are looking forward to reach the final on their debut appearance and eventually win the ultimate.
