Accra Hearts of Oak former defender, Isaac Oduro has accused former Black Starlets head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, for charging GHC 3,000 from players before given them national team invitation.
According to the AFC Leopards defender, the former Asante Kotoko trainer was in 2012 charging players huge sums of monies before he gives them national team call up.
He explained that, those habit runs through the various national teams and is a major factor to Ghana’s trophy drought of late.
“In 2012, Black Starlets under coach Paa Kwesi Fabin were charging as much as GHC 3,000 before you can play for the national U-17 team”, he told Nimdee FM.
“It’s a hard time that those practices are put to stop and it’s not only the U-17 but runs through the various national teams. If we don’t stop collecting that small small monies from the players, as a country we won’t go far in any competition”.
Isaac Oduro formerly played for Okwahu United, Hearts of Oak before inking a three year deal with the Kenya top-flight side in 2018.
