The Paramount Chief of Elmina, Nana Kodwo Conduah VI, has heaped praises on the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation’s (GNPC) Foundation for investing in Ghanaians.
According to him, the expansive areas of operation of the GNPC Foundation lends credence to the truth in his observation that communities across the country could point to projects and programmes funded and executed by GNPCGhana through its Corporate Social Investment module.

As the social investment arm of GNPC, impacting the lives of Ghanaians has been the core mandate of the GNPC Foundation.

The GNPC Foundation has given lives to many Ghanaians in the areas of education, health and infrastructural developments.
In the area of education, the GNPC Foundation has been given out scholarships to deserving Ghanaians to even study abroad. They’ve been commissioning classroom blocks, sanitary facilities, donating of infrastructure to schools across the country.

The Foundation has also been constructing artificial turfs and headlining some sporting events across the country including the Fastest Human, NSA Inter-Districts Athletics Championship among others.
Recently the Nana Hima Government Hospital was equipped with medical equipments by the GNPC Foundation and has been contributing massively to the health sector.

In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Foundation launched a campaign to fight against the disease; donating health items to hospitals, institutions and traders at the various markets in the Western region and will be extending it to the other regions.

Lauding GNPC’s impressive social impact projects as well as its current campaign against the spread of the world wide COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana, he also requested that the Foundation extended support to the people of the Central region and beyond as the entire nation rally efforts to fight off the threats of the corona virus.
The Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah, reiterated the Foundation’s core mandate to positively affect lives and stated its readiness to offer continuous support to Ghanaians and communities.
“These are extraordinary times and it behoves on all Ghanaians and everyone living within the confines of the country to accept their communal responsibility to play their part in safeguarding our lives and livelihood currently threatened by the global pandemic,” he said.

He further assured that the Foundation would, within its means, continue to play its part in supporting the fight against the virus across the country.
