The Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Youth and Culture have settled the impasse between the Normalization Committee and the Ghana League Clubs Association, Kyfilla.com has been informed.
The Dr. Kofi Amoah led Committee had a wrangling with GHALCA, resulting in the cancellation of the proposed special competition which was to fill the void after football activities in the country was halted since last year.
The Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, chaired by the Member of Parliament for Mpohor, Honorable Alex Agyekum invited both the Normalization Committee and GHALCA for meeting centered around the way forward of football in the country and the cancellation of the Special Competition.
The Normalization Committee was ordered to apologize to GHALCA for describing them as greedy, selfish and braggarts when the clubs decided to boycott the Special Competition.
The Parliamentary Committee on Sports, after a meeting with GHALCA and the Normalization Committee at the Parliament House has appointed a Commitment headed by the Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Honorable Curtis Perry Okwudzato mandated to oversee the finances for the proposed Special Competition.
The Committee members also includes: OB Amoah, Honourable MP for Akuapem South, Madam Lucy Quist ,Mr Alex Asante, Kudjoe Fianu, Mr Kurt Okraku, Mr Randy Abbey.
