French international and Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has been appointed as Genoa head coach, replacing Alberto Gilardino.
The Serie A giants are keen in the managerial style of the French man and after a long negotiations, he has given he nod to manage Genoa.
The move also comes on the heels of Genoa’s recent signing of Mario Balotelli as a free agent. There has been some backlash from Vieira about Mario Balotelli and the new Genoa manager went on to say he can’t work with a player like Balotelli.
Viera has coached New York City FC , Nizza, Crystal Palace Football Club and Strasbourg.
