Paul Acquah, former winger for Acra Hearts of Oak SC, was left stranded in Nigeria when his contract was terminated by Rivers United F. C.
After he signed the paperwork, the club was supposed to purchase his plane ticket back to Ghana, but they have since declined.
In addition, they have not given him his bonuses or other entitlements. Despite not having given him a ticket as agreed upon in the contract termination, the unfortunate thing is that they are also requesting his immediate departure from camp so that another player can take his room.
There was no compelling reason given for the termination of his contract. The Ghanaian Ambassador to Nigeria and other representatives have not yet commented on the situation.
