Stephen Appiah has lauded Pep Guardiola and Roberto Baggio for their significant roles in his career at Italian topflight side then, Brescia.
The former Black Stars skipper says the two football greats helped him to settle well at Brescia, after he joined from Parma in the 2002–2003 season.

In Appiah’s days at Brescia, he played alongside former Ballon d’or winner Roberto Baggio and former Barcelona and current Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola.
Stephen Appiah joined Juventus and spent further two seasons with the Bianconeri. Speaking on Joy Sports Link with Nathaniel Attoh, Appiah alluded to the fact that his impressive numbers were as a result of playing with the duo.

“I scored 8 goals the 2002-2003 season with Brescia because when you are playing with Guardiola and Baggio, they make things simple for you.”
Stephen Appiah, 39, appeared 32 times for Brescia. Appiah played good 9 years at Italy before finally joining Turkish side Fenerbahçe.
