The Member of Parliament for Kumawu in the Ashanti Region, Philip Basoah has passed away.[ads2]
Multiple reports say the lawmaker died early this morning, Tuesday, March 28.
Mr Basoah failed to be in parliament last Friday, March 24, 2023 during a critical vote to confirm ministerial appointees of President Akufo-Addo.[ads3]
After several attempts to find his whereabout went fruitless, his room was forcibly opened, only to find him collapsed.
He was rushed to the hospital for medical attention but unfortunately gave up the ghost.[ads4]
Philip Basoah died at the age of 53 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
He was in parliament on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).[ads5]
