The Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, Dr Dominic Kwesi Eduah, led a team from the Foundation last week to visit the Nana Hima Dekyi Government Hospital at Dixcove in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region.
The visit was to inspect and examine the true state of the hospital’s theatre and laboratory.
A request to the Foundation for the purchase of chemistry analyzer and haematology analyzer was made last year to enable the hospital laboratory to perform some critical investigations such as liver function test, kidney function test, lipid profile and cardiac enzymes.

During the inspection exercise, Dr. Eduah told the hospital staff that ‘the machines have been bought and the installation is expected to be done by the end of this week and the presentation to you will follow immediately.’
The location of the hospital is critical as it provides healthcare for a large number of people who require medical services within Dixcove and its surrounding villages.
