Family of Jerry John Rawlings have visited the overload of Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to officially inform him about the demise of the former president.
The founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the longest serving Ghanaian president gave up the ghost on November 12, 2020 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after a short illness.[ads2]
As tradition demands, the family arrived at the Manhyia Palace on Thursday afternoon to inform the Asantehene about the death of Mr. Rawlings.
His children Zenator and Kimathi Rawlings were part of a delegation that visited the Asantehene on Thursday afternoon.
