Gadam Nation boss Fancy Gadam received a surprising welcome after winning Most popular song of the year at the 19th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The Awards ceremony which was held at the Accra International Conference Center last Saturday,saw celebrities glittering and glamouring, as they stormed on the red carpet to showcase themselves.
However, the “Total Cheat” hit maker found himself in a very competitive categories including the Most popular Song of the Year, with the likes of ‘One Corner’ writer Patapaa, dancehall mogul Shatta Wale and ‘Sponsor’ diva Ebony Reigns of blessed memories.
The show ended with the Tamale music star emerging the winner, surpassing ‘One Corner’ hit maker Patapaa who people saw as favorite.
After arriving at Tamale with the award, to utmost surprised, inhabitants of the capital of Northern region boomed up on the streets of Tamale with about thousands of motor bicycles with brass bands , bringing the whole place unto a standstill .
