[ads1]The Ghana Rugby Football Union have conducted multiple Coronavirus tests for their players and officials ahead of the new season.
Since the outbreak of the devastating disease, Ghana Rugby is regarded as the leading sports Federation helping the government in the fight against the pandemic.
As part of measures in the fight against the pandemic, Ghana Rugby has been conducting multiple tests on its members since the outbreak of the disease.
A test was conducted for all card bearing Ghana Rugby members (Players and Officials) in March and since then has continued through till now.
Speaking exclusively to this portal, the President and Board Chairman of the Federation, Herbert Mensah stated that some of the players have had about six to seven tests since the outbreak of the disease.
He explained that about twelve tested positive for the virus but eleven have recovered, remaining only one person who is responding well to treatment.
Mr. Mensah added that more of the test will be conducted before, during and after the Ghana Rugby new league season.
He seized the opportunity to expressed a heartfelt gratitude to the management of Nogochi Memorial Institute for the massive support to the Federation by ensuring that all members of the Ghana Rugby Football Union is tested whenever necessary.[ads3]
Mr. Mensah also urged Ghanaians to continue boosting the immune system to be able to fight the novel Coronavirus.
